Church Society is seeking to recruit a new Finance Manager from September 2026.

This is a part-time post, but a crucial role in our operations. The Finance Manager will have responsibility for accounts, audits, Annual Returns, banking, Gift Aid, the annual budget, payroll, and monitoring investments. In addition to Church Society, they will be responsible for the accounts of two further trusts.

The Finance Manager is expected to attend weekly staff meetings and occasional in-person meetings. They prepare reports for the Council and the Finance Committee and are expected to attend the Finance Committee meetings. The Finance Manager will also be our Company Secretary.

This is a 17.5 hour a week position, salary £20-25k, dependent on experience (FTE £40-50k).

The position is based in our Watford office, though there may be flexibility to do the majority of the work from home if necessary, once the post-holder becomes familiar with our structure and working practices.
