Lee on the Lectionary: Sunday next before Advent (Year C)
The readings this Sunday are reflective of the fact that it is the festival of Christ the King. They show us that Jesus is the righteous shepherd king of both creation and new creation who through the cross unites heaven and earth in his peaceful kingdom.
