Assistant to the Director of Church Society
Church Society seeks to strengthen and support faithful Anglican evangelical ministry across the Church of England. We are looking for an Assistant who shares our convictions and who is eager to support gospel-focused work through dependable administration, good theological awareness, and a commitment to serving the wider church.
The role involves supporting the Director in his theological, publishing, and organisational responsibilities. The successful candidate will be someone who works well independently, exercises sound judgment, communicates clearly, and finds joy in enabling ministry behind the scenes. The postholder must be an orthodox Anglican evangelical able to sign the Church Society Declaration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the Director’s email and assisting with correspondence
- Diary support and coordinating meetings and follow-up
- Liaising with authors, publishers, trustees, and church partners
- Assisting with research, proofreading, and publishing projects
- Supporting occasional events and travel logistics
We would especially welcome applicants who have:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Theological competence to assist with research tasks
- The ability to manage their own workload effectively
- Familiarity with the Church of England and complementarian evangelical networks (desirable)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar and other such tools (desirable)
This is a hybrid role, mainly online, with occasional time in Cambridge.
£8,000 per year • 10 hours per week (flexible) • Hybrid (online with occasional time in Cambridge)
