Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Church Society will be held at the High Leigh Conference Centre, Hertfordshire, on Wednesday 28th August 2024, commencing at 4.00pm.

At this meeting, we elect our honorary officers and Council, hear reports from the Chairman of Council, and Chairman of Finance, and have a chance to discuss issues of importance to us as a Society. If you are a member of Church Society, please come along to exercise your vote and make a contribution.

Please download the official Notice of the AGM and the Nomination Form for those who might wish to stand for election to Council.

We are very keen that our Council should be a good representation of our diverse membership – lay people, as well as clergy, men and women, from different areas of the country, and with different class, educational and ethnic backgrounds. The Council has to consider matters including finance, law, safeguarding, communications, HR and many more, so we need a wide range of experience and expertise. If you would like more information about what being on Council entails, please do contact the office and we will gladly put you in touch with one of our current Council members. Any member of Church Society can stand for election – please don’t wait to be asked!

The AGM will be held during the annual Junior Anglican Evangelical Conference (JAEC). Attendees of the AGM are welcome to join us for tea prior to the meeting, and to stay for the panel discussion afterwards, but you MUST book with the office at least a week prior to the AGM. If you would like to submit a question to the meeting in advance, please email it to the office by Wednesday 21st August. It can then be responded to at the meeting.
