Through our quarterly magazine, Crossway, we seek to keep our members informed about important issues in the Church of England, as well as news from Church Society and encouragement for our own Christian lives. In this issue, you will find an article from the National Director of the Church of England Evangelical Council, Keith Sinclair, reflecting on the Lambeth Conference and its potential impact on the Living in Love and Faith process, followed by an explanation of why any kind of pastoral accommodation around same-sex marriage or same-sex blessings will not be possible.

Rod Thomas, now retired from his role as the Bishop of Maidstone, reflects on the past seven years of ministry. Kirsten Birkett and I discuss the practical outworking of complementarianism in local churches and especially the ministry of women. Bishop Rod was an enthusiastic supporter of women in ministry, giving rise to the Co-Workers network. It was good to hear at his farewell service that Carrie Sandom will be joining the team of pastoral advisers who work alongside Bishop Rod's replacement, the new Bishop of Ebbsfleet.

Crossway is just one of the ways that Church Society seeks to equip its members in contending to reform and renew the Church of England in biblical faith. To learn more and to enable us to keep working in this way, why not consider joining us?

Further copies of Crossway and back issues are available to purchase here. Supporter churches also receive a number of issues of Crossway for their congregations.
