A collect for the coronation
This collect from Church Society may be used by individuals or churches in praying for the King, especially this weekend.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father,
who has raised up your servant Charles to be our King:
We humbly pray that you would endue his royal heart
with holiness and your heavenly grace,
that he may ever walk before you in righteousness,
to maintain and defend the true profession of the gospel;
grant him honour, health, and happiness in this world,
and crown him with immortality in the world to come
for the safety, peace, and benefit of his whole kingdom and Commonwealth,
and the glory of your sacred word of truth,
through Jesus Christ our LordAmen
