If you've valued the series of posts from Kirsten Birkett on Class and the Church, you'll want to join us at the Junior Anglican Evangelical Conference this summer to be able to discuss the issues further in the seminar she will be leading. The final post of the series included a number of challenges to the evangelical church to do better in this area, and there will be opportunity in the seminar to think about how we can begin to put this into practice. Whether you are ministering in a cross-class situation, planning to serve in a working class area where you feel at home, or whether you know your church isn't good at welcoming people from different backgrounds, there will be plenty to learn and think about.

Kirsten is the Director of Publications for Church Society, as well as being an experienced author, lecturer and theologian. She has lived in the UK for many years, though she originally comes from Australia.

All the information about this summer's conference is here, and you can book your place via the Church Society shop. We look forward to seeing you there!
