Bishop sanctions
service for gays

A Senior Anglican bishop
has commissioned the Church of England's first official service
to recognise gay couples and cohabiting heterosexuals.
John Saxbee, Bishop
of Lincoln, has instructed staff to draw up the liturgy in which
those in non-marriage relationships are able to step forward in
church and give thanks to God for their union.
