| The
Gender Recognition Bill is concerned with the rights of transsexuals.
It allows a man to become a woman in law, and vice versa.
The legislation allows
for a person to alter their sex on their birth certificate.
It will allow two people
who are biologically of the same sex to marry one another because
one of them has had operations to modify their body.
It will allow transsexuals
to take legal action against Churches and other Christian employers
if they believe they have been discriminated against.
Valuable resources on
this issue can be found on the website of the Christian Institute
(see links page).
