In England the revisionist
agenda has been much more subtle but the attempt to appoint Jeffrey
John as Bishop of Reading in the middle of 2003 showed the direction
in which things are going. In addition, although the Archbishop
of Canterbury has shown a concern to keep the Communion together
his own published views show that at heart he is a liberal.
