The Canadian Church
is, in many respects, even more liberal than ECUSA. In New
Westminster Diocese, which includes the city of Vancouver, services
of same-sex blessings were introduced after several years of prevaracating.
Clergy who objected to these moves have found themselves
castigated and one Bishop who tried to offer them pastoral support
was threatened with legal action.
The Canadian Church
is now looking at same-sex marriages and several clergy have now
opted for the oversight of African Churches as the Anglican Mission
in Canada.
