It is 20 years since the Patronage (Benefices) Measure was passed by Synod.  Canon Michael Walters, Chairman of the Church Society (Patronage) Trust and until retirement last year a member of General Synod will examine how the Measure is working and suggests how its principles might be applied in the light of the changing scene as regards Clergy Terms of Service.
