David Streater was Secretary of Church Society from 1991 to 1998.

David Arthur Streater joined Church Society in 1991 and had to steer the Society through the difficult time of responding to the Priests Ordination of Women Measure and the legal challenge mounted by the Society. He had previously been Rector of Kingham with Churchill and Daylesford in Oxford Diocese and on the teaching staff of George Whitefield College, Cape Town, South Africa.

David left Church Society in 1998 and 'retired' to become House for Duty minister at All Saints, Odell before fully retiring to Wales in 2003.

David is an Honorary Vice-President of the Society and remained a member of the Churchman Editorial Board until 2011.
